A Simple Wave Defense
Here is a simple game I made with Construct 2 to mess around with it. The game isn’t that good, it’s pretty much a test I did to experiment with things I learned from my programming classes in high school. You control a single turret whose job is to protect the bar behind it from approaching blocks. To shoot you hold down the left mouse button and every second the turret shoots. The enemy is green blocks that spawn outside and will approach the bar, they are really easy to destroy as only one shot is needed, but what they lack in strength they make up in numbers. The bar can only take 10 damage which can be seen as text, when it’s destroyed it’s game over, good luck. I plan to make much better games in the future.

Simple Snake
Snake game is a classic arcade-style game where the player controls a growing snake. The goal of the game is to eat as many pieces of food as possible while avoiding colliding with the walls or the snake’s own body. As the snake eats the food, it grows longer, making it harder to manoeuvre without running into it. The game ends when the snake collides with a wall or its own body. It is a simple yet addictive game that has been enjoyed by players for decades.

SPELLS: Teleport: Teleports player randomly around the map; Detect: Locates secret walls and traps within range+2; Mapping: Reveals map; Healing: Restores player back to full health; Recovery: Restores player back to full stamina; Fireball: Moderate attack on all creatures within range+3; Firebolt: Strong attack on one creature within range+3. ITEMS: Tome of Magic: Player learns one spell not already known; Tome of Skill: Player learns one skill not already known; Potion of healing: Restores player back to full health; Potion of stamina: Restores player back to full stamina; Potion of mana: Restores player back to full magic. Game Controls: Arrow keys to move/attack; X or V to use skill/select menu; Z or C to open/close menu; Ctrl+M to turn off sounds; Enter to open Pico-8 menu. Menu Controls: Arrow keys to select an option; X or V to select an option; Z or C to go back to the previous menu; Ctrl+M to turn off sounds. Generic Pico-8 Controls: Toggle Fullscreen: Alt+Enter; Reload/Run/Restart cart: Ctrl+R; Mute/Unmute: Ctrl+M; Player 1 defaults: Cursors + ZX / NM / CV; Player 2 defaults: SDFE + WA; Enter or P for pause menu (while running). Mobile Controls: Very similar except in the virtual handset the O button represents the Z key. Controllers: You can use any game controllers recognized by SDL with PICO-8.
