In 1984, he took a bold step by establishing his own company, venturing into large-scale contracts across the country and managing a dedicated team of 13 skilled individuals.

During this remarkable journey, Roger honed his expertise in all facets of decorating, including materials for commercial and industrial projects, pricing strategies, stock control, and effective people management. He dedicated considerable time to projects across the UK, acquiring a wealth of knowledge and experience.

After years of working nationwide, Roger decided to focus on serving his local community in the Bristol and South West area. To further refine his craft, he attended the prestigious School of Fine Paint Finishes in London, where he delved into the intricate world of paint effects, using scumble glazes for techniques like rag rolling, marbling, and graining.

In recent years, Roger has channelled his talents towards delivering exceptional hand and spray-finished kitchens and furniture, showcasing his commitment to excellence in the finer details of his craft.

In 2017, Roger’s son, Russell, joined the family business, and together, they operate as a dynamic father-and-son team.
